Mega jump
About
Saturday, July 8, 2011, at 07:10PM, Taïg Khris beat the long jump world record by flying over a distance of 29 meters. It was the longest jump ever made in rollers over the roofs of Paris.
This performance brought together more than 40.000 people at the foot of the Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre. In order to film the jump, Puzzle Media put together an exceptional apparatus – 13 cameras including one filming 900 images per second for slow-motion and two cranes of 5 and 15 meters.
French channel W9 more than doubled its usual audience share over the 4 previous years and placed atop the TNT channels with a peak audience of more than 800.000.
Following the live, Puzzle Media organized the streaming of the aftermath on m6mobilemegajump.fr. This innovation – spearheaded by the production company – generated group M6’s official website’s second best record audience after the retransmission of the royal wedding.
The jump’s image was then broadcast over all the national and international news networks thanks to a satellite link and an FTP put online by Puzzle Media.
The official video was seen more than 500.000 times in 48 hours.
