Diamond in the rough

Climbing higher and higher is the challenge of Philippe Ribière, a high level sportsman and founder of the association “Handi-Grimpe”.

Affected by a malformation of his hands and feet, this native of Martinique has the particularity of having very little strength in his forearms. Abandoned and then adopted by a large family, he underwent multiple operations to make his limbs more functional.

He has turned his difference into a strength and climbing has become his greatest passion.

He is the first sponsored disabled athlete: a real diamond in the rough.
