Téléthon 2017 - 670m of Highline
About
For the 31st edition of the Téléthon (2017), Puzzle Media organized a 670 meters long crossing on a highline suspended between the Eiffel tower and the Trocadero – made by world record-breaker Nathan Paulin.
Nathan Paulin is a member of the SDD Slackline team (Sangle Dessus-Dessous, or Strap Upside Down). He made the 670 meters that separated the Eiffel tower from the Trocadero at a height of 70 meters on a highline.
This even was broadcast live on France Television.
A true modern tightrope walker, Nathan Paulin holds the world record for highline walking – highline being an aerial version of slackline – with a distance of 1662 meters at the Navacelles Circus in Southern France.
This exceptional prowess by the world champion was organized by Puzzle Media. In order to ensure the performer’s safety, Puzzle Media had help from the HRE collective (Highline Rescue Experience), specialized in aerial rescue.
This innovative sportive performance also was a world first since it was the longest highline crossing ever made in the middle of a city! The previous world record was 250 meters in an urban setting.”
